I tried fenugreek and saw only minimal results. (I was an exclusive pumper, so it was easy to see how my diet affected my milk supply)

What really worked for me was oatmeal. I had two bowls of oatmeal a day, snacked on Cheerios and oatmeal cookies and watched as my supply dramatically increased. It was pretty amazing to watch.

I've had to use fenugreek to increase my milk supply twice. Both times it seemed to work. I was told to use as many pills, I think it was as many as 5-6 a day, until my sweat/urine started to smell like maple syrup (sorry for the graphic details)! It's true, you'll start to smell like maple syrup. It doesn't seem to effect the baby though.

This was after much consulting with my laleche league leader, my OB/GYN and my son's pediatrician. It seems to be very safe.

Good luck. It should work. I have a couple of friends who have used it with success, too. It's available at all vitamin stores.

quite some super suggestion right here already! i might like to nicely known how previous toddler is. Your milk grant would be plenty greater effective with toddler on the breast than utilizing a pump. toddler is plenty greater effectual than the pump. additionally, toddler will stimulate your physique to make greater milk. Take the fenugreek as suggested - make certain to sniff like maple syrup. it works. loosen up. Drink quite some water and mom's Milk Tea (wellbeing nutrition shop) - which i admire with Splenda. What makes you think of your milk grant is low? Spend the weekend with toddler in mattress. Snuggle, nurse mendacity on your section, relax, nurse some greater. Take a heat tub mutually. pay attention to lullabies. Nurse & nurse. you additionally can attempt the a million-2-a million swap: Get toddler nursing till you enable down, sontinue for a minute, swap to the different breast, then swap returned to the 1st breast while he seems executed or till now he falls asleep. Is there a lactation representative from the scientific institution which you would be able to call? I do only no longer prefer you to be fretting approximately milk grant if that's not incredibly low. stable success and have a pleasing MILK development weekend with your toddler.

Fenugreek did nothing for me, and I was drinking the tea about 1/2 hour before every time I nursed. There is a prescription pill called Domperidone that works really well. You can ask your doctor about it.

It did help for me.
It took a few days and it wasn't a dramatic increase, but it DID help.

Best of luck!
