how long can you leave an average tampon in for?

you should change them every 4-5 hours but that depends on the absorbency you are using and on you how much you bleed.
you should change them regulary and it should say how long on the box or the instructions that comes with them but i would say change them every 4- 5hours.

You are risking it if you leave a tampon in longer than a day and not a 24 hour day. It is best you change a tampon every 8 hours on the average.

it says 8 hours right on the side of the box.... this is considered safe... if you use something like instead cups or the moon cup/keepr those can be left in for 12 hours. also remember to only use a tampon as big as you need for your flow... don't use ones that are too big.

It depends on, how heavy your period is
And also the size of the tampon

read the instructions on the box please sweetie... they explain all these stuff, it depends on your flow etc
