I was in the 67th Percentile in Mathematics, and 90th percentile in English. I have a 3.7 GPA in Undergrad. I'm applying for Marketing PHD programs and I have 2 years work experience in the Retail industry.

Not really. For good MBA's, the average GMAT is above 700. For PhD it will be at least that number. They especially look at the math part of your GMAT which you weren't so hot in. They also look for someone who's had done some extensive research work in marketing. I suggest you gain more work experience, preferrably in the research department and retake your GMAT.

It depends on the schools you are applying to...but the GMAT is just one part of the application. Have you scheduled an interview or a visit to the Marketing departments you are targeting? Have you contacted professors? This is important since professors are the main decision makers in admissions committees. They will admit students who share their interests and who have great academic potential, but more importantly they will admit students they know, so contact them and get to know them. Good luck!

if you are talking top 10 then no, but you might be able to get into another good school. unless of course you are a minority and then you will have a better chance than white men
