It depends on your prepregnancy weight, if you are unde weight you should gain 35-45lbs, average weight 25-35lbs, overweight 15-25lbs. If you are of "average weight" yo sound about right. People gain different amounts of weight at different points of there pregnancy, like I usually don't gain more that 5lbs in the first 5 months then I pile it on.

I gained 60 lbs with my first baby. I have yet to loose it. I think you are still ok, but just watch it now. Eat healthier foods and make sure you are getting 30 min of walking in a day. That should keep you from gaining out of control. It is a whole lot harder to lose after the baby. Good luck!
PS. My Dr. told me the ideal weight gain was 25-30 lbs during pregnancy.

Sorry but you may need to find another doctor you gain around 2 lbs during your second trimester and unless you were overweight when you began your pregnancy you are on track. the recomended weight gain is 25 - 30 lbs

Wow the I was way off. I gained 70 lbs in my pregnancy. Dr. never said that it was too much. Everybodys body is different. I would get a 2nd opinion.

depends on whether u were overweight or not. the normal recommended weight gain is 25-30 pounds. if ur overweight they recommend 15-20 pounds.

My sister gained that in the first two months and it turned out she had a ridiculas amount of water and two sacs of it on top of that I wouldnt worry

Whatever! It's never "too much". Sure, you can go a little overboard, but "too much"? Nuh-uh. 18lbs. really isn't much for 6 mos.
