No, birth control pills only work if you take them everyday at the same time. If you just take one, it will do nothing.

The emergency pills are just highly concentrated doses of birth control pills, so it's possible it could work. But to be safe, you're better to go to your doctor and get the emergency pills. Depending on where you live, they're available OTC

If you've been taking them regular and on time, you should not be pregnant.

If you screwed up on your dose and you're pregnant... Too late!

The morning after pill is a horrible concept really, don't you think? I know, it is better than having an unwanted child, but when you really think about it, it allows people (not unlike yourself) to be irresponsible with a situation you SHOULD by all rights be paying very close attention to if you don't want to get pregnant.

It's just not right...Probably why it is so expensive. Those kinds of lessons usually are.

Not if you think you're already pregnant. You'll have to go to the doctor.
