no, this has not happened to me or to anyone that I know. I just got tired of all of the meaningless and stupid questions that were being asked

If I did it, probably a little panicky, hoping I hadn't been stupid enough to bring anything back into the house. As stupid as getting seen would be... so, yeah... I'd panic, as the knife would probably be sitting on a table in plain sight.
If I didn't, bemused and irritated about the arrest. If they were there on an ID to gain more info couldn't they just ask me to come in and not make an arrest til they had actual evidence? Also, glad, because it would likely be dismissed if they had nothing to arrest me on.
(cool question :-)

I'd be in shock but not say a word until my lawyer got there. My husband is actually attending law school and has already told me if anything like this ever happened (I hope he doesn't really think it ever would!) that I should defiantly wait for an attorney before talking.

I don't know. Has this happened to you or someone you know? I guess I'd listen to what the police had to say, and seeing as how they obviously have enough evidence for a warrant I'd be getting a lawyer. As for how I'd feel... well I wouldn't kill anyone, so I'd be really pissed off.

If a police officer slapped hand cuffs on me, there wouldn't be a lot I could do. Fighting would make matters worse. I would feel traumatized though.

I would think that my rights were still being violated because, from what you said, the police didn't give any details about the murder scene to which they were referring or who was killed. One of the rights upon arrest (in America) is to know what you were being charged with upon arrest.

hmmm I would be confused, not knowing what to do or say.... but at least I would know that I'm innocent and hopefully they will find out too. I would feel horrified :-/

Make no statements. tell them you want a lawyer present at all questioning. do not waive your rights... and put down the gun.
