I have always tried taupes and browns but they just don't look right. It's unusual to have such dark hair and such pale skin AND blue eyes (i should have blonde hair but I don't) So what do I do? And what about eye liner and mascara? If I use black liner I look like a racoon. Please help

You sound just like me!!!

well you have a few options:

silvers (don't go overboard) *****my favorite*****
light, icy pinks
light brown w/ silver specks- NOT GOLD
Aqua and blue might be okay if you blend them well ( if you are going for a dramatic look)

as far as eyeliner goes, VERY lightly(you are probably putting too much on, that's what gives you that raccoon look, I see that a lot!) smudge a soft black or grey pencil under your eye as close as you can to your lash line, rub finger to blend

black mascara will really make your eyes pop yet still looks natural, I say stay away from other colors

Things to stay away from:
reds, golds, bright pinks, blues that don't blend, browns, greens.

Stick to Icy colors, stay away from warm colors as a general rule, but always try experimenting!

Good luck!!!

Hi there !!! I have blue eyes, super fair skin and brown/blonde hair as well !! I've tried many different colors on my eyes and the colors that really have made them even brighter are warm browns. I know that a lot of people say to wear blue eyeshadow, but it doesn't look right to me so I don't use it. I use brown as a base color, bronze (or gold) as an accent color and a shimmer cream color for a highlighting color. I use a brown eyeliner (blended really well, for the smoky look) and brown mascara. I use black eyeliner and mascara every now and then, when I'm going for a more cool color look with a berry color base, pink accent and white shimmer highlight. Black makes eyes appear smaller though, so keep that in mind ! Hope this helps !!! =)

My natural hair color is medium brown. I have blue eyes and I'm fair skinned also. I use some coppers, charcoals, light blues, some pinks, and natural colors not necessary browns. I am a cosmetologist and spa technician. I have been to several makeup classes. I have learned the best thing to do is experiment. So just try new colors. Colors you would have never thought of using. Most of the time I use a brow/black eye liner and mascara. If I wear charcoal or Grey shadow I use charcoal liner, if I wear pink eye shadow I use plum eye liner (the pinks I use are usually fusia shades, not light pinks), blue shadow, inigo liner. You can mix and match. There is no set rules when it comes to eyeshadow colors. If you have anymore questions you can contact me via email. cetwf@yahoo.com. I hope this is helpful. Tammie

Navy blue eyeliner
Black mascara
Pale pink eyeshadow, or just about any other color, but there's something about pink that makes blue eyes stand out, especially with brown hair and fair skin.
Works for me--same coloring as you. Taupes and browns once in a while can be good, but for the most part they'll wash us out.
Good luck!

With brown hair, blue eyes and fair skin try neutrals. Like a pale pink shimmery eye shadow, brown masscara, and a neutral gloss. A very light blush might do some good and you can define your brows. Make them a bit darker to compliment your look.

You are like me. I have fair skin and for my eyeshadow i wear a soft brown with a soft brown eye liner and a medium black color mascara. Try it and see what happens.

to bring your eyes out use a bit darker blue than your eye color. (i have that same thing my eyes are green and my hair is deep brown and i have light skin too.) I use brown eyeliner or only black mascara on top and bottom lashes. I usaully match my eyeshawdow with my shirt but not perfectly cuz u dont want to look too bland.

Use a soft black or brown for your mascarra.
Greyish eyeliner.

Tend to stick with misty colors, neutrals. pinks some purples.
If you have pale skin then you want to stay away from warm colors. The best thing for you is to use paler colors.
