I need to take an economics course to fulfill a requirement. I am pretty good in Math. Which of these should I take? Which is the easiest? Macroeconomics or microeconomics? Why?

Neither is easier. I am great at math, but I was horrible in Economics. I took macro. I got a B so I guess I didn't do too bad. The only difference between the two is that macro concentrates on broader problems while micro concentrates on little details. It really doesn't matter which to take, but since economics is such a broad topic anyway, I though macro was the best choice.

Macroeconomics is very interesting, and will make you want to be a politician lol! Microeconomics is more useful on a day to day business basis. In my opinion, they're both equally challenging and interesting; both use equations, and both are essentially a science of human spending behaviour.

If you are good in math, I wouldn't worry about taking the easier one. For many people, Macro is easier because Micro tends to be more mathematical, but in your case, it shouldn't matter.

depends on your TEACHER and your skills. i am good at math and science but i only got a B in macroeconomics. i would pick micro if you handle details better than most. macro was jus random common sense.

I don't know which is easier, but micro would probably be more useful for you in the long run - you can use it in your daily life, but macro is large scale stuff you probably won't use unless you work for a major corporation or a government.

They both have their particular complications. The workload will be similar since they are both introductory courses.

So essentially, they are the same and the one that will be harder for you will depend simply on the professor who teaches you.

I'd say that MACRO is your best bet. It is more broad and MICRO focuses more on the tiny details.
