This boss of mine has the thermostat on 76F and it is too warm and I am sleepy. In the summer months the minute the temp reaches 70F the AC is on and I am freezing, for the rest of the summer, and often sit outside to warm up and spend a lot of time adjusting the thermostat If you are unable to adjust the thermostat or find someone who will, keep a warm sweater on and a scarf and hat if you need to,perhaps that will give them a message. It is amazing how inconsiderate some bosses are and jobs are not easy to get in our area. Could you bring a small electric heater and plug it in at your desk or cubicle ?.

Its not the fact that the boss wont put the heater on coz of being tight, i have an office full of menopausal women and they're having their hot flushes and i'm a mere skin and bone 25 year old sat with 2 jumpers on and me scarf!

I was out voted along time ago!

I had an old boss that would put the heating on low in the office at the back where the thermomoter was so it always read 16 degrees, I was working in a newsagents then so when no one was about I used to run up and down to warm up. In my office now there usually only me so I get to decide on the heating arrangements.

Lucky you, mine has it going full blast 24/7. He did this even in the summer when the temp would be up at 80 degrees outside. Even now when it is cold outside I can barely breathe inside from all the heat he's got going.

We just got our heating on last month. It's the landlords tho, not the boss.

They reckoned that they had to have their boiler services, then commissioned, then checked etc. etc. which of course took about 6 weeks, it's like being back at school!
