there is something wrong with my goldfish! lol..why is there a "string" looking object hanging from my fish's underbelly!!! It's TOO long to be a penis..hahah..I dont even know if Goldfish have penises...haha..well, if you happen to know what this may be, I"d appreciate the help!

Its waste and is a good sign that the fish mroe than liekly has an internal parasite. Especially since its a good fish the chances are a little higher. To be safe go to walmart or local pet store and get some Melafix and raise the temperature of the tank to 80-82 F and do frequent water changes of 20%

well, I hope that you have had your fish long enough to know what it's poop looks like. so here is what it could be. Anchor worm (Lernea elegans).... maybe. I just saw these close up today on a fish here in my dorm! gave me the willies! and here is what you need to do, if it's worms. put them off! if you cant do it take him to a vet. this is very contagious, so remove all fish and clean you tank out- use vinager, it will kill it. as for your other fish keep and eye on them so they dont get it.

fish poop.If it is kinda of clear though then it could very well be an internal parasite.also to help with constipation...use frozen English peas.warm a couple up in your hands and pinch off the outer shell and throw the pea in there.They love this plus it is good for them.

Sounds like a very healthy poop. It will fall once he is done pooping. It may be that he has had a little too much food, as poop should really not be long.

a friend of mine called in a panic once, said her fish had worms
so i go running up to her house and its just doodoo!
