I had the same problem with my first pregnancy. I ended up losing 10 pounds in the first trimester. These are some of the things I did in my second pregnancy and I wasn't as sick.
-The first thing you do in the morning is eat crackers. Don't get out of bed (keep them on your nightstand), don't even sit up- just munch down on like 6 or so crackers.
-Suck on peppermint candies. Peppermint helps suppress nausea.
-Try to avoid your triggers- like for me it was the smell of meat cooking, or stuffy cabinets- like where the dog food was kept.
-Drink Gatorade or Pedialyte after you throw up. It helps to keep you hydrated (being dehydrated makes it more likely for you to keep throwing up- it's a cycle.)
-Eat small meals every 2 hours or so, even if it's just a few crackers. I found that I was more nauseas when my stomach was empty.

Try eating a little bit of something before you get really hungry. I used to eat something as soon as I woke up, and then snacked all thru the day. It seemed to help with the nausea.

Other than visiting the doctor, try lots of different types of foods. You may find that something you wouldn't expect or don't eat often will work for you. Keep taking those prenatal vitamins!

This may sound funny but doctors have found that eating lolipops decreases morning sickness but if you can't eat anything or drink anything without throwing up you should go to your doctor immidiately

You need to go to your doctor and tell them about this. If it goes on for too long you will indeed be hurting the baby. They will give you something to help wih the severe nausea.

If you aren't able to keep anything down, then you need to call your doctor. They have meds or alternatives that may help with nausea. And you should worry, dehydration is both dangerous for you and the fetus. Do call your doctor, especially if you aren't' getting anything down at all.

Call your ob they'll give you a script for medication that helps with the nausea. I lost 12lbs the first trimester because I was SOO sick. I hope the meds help you.
