It will work itself out this weekend after Notre Dame demolishes USC. I am very tired of people telling me that Notre Dame has not beaten anyone good this year. So this means that Georgia Tech (9-2), Penn St. (8-4), and Purdue (8-4) are bad teams? I don't think so! Notre Dame should get their chance at Ohio St.

The problem I have with USC is that their loss was to an unranked team. I still do not have a handle on how the BCS ranks teams. The logic escapes me. For example, Florida has the toughest schedule in all of college football and lost to a ranked team (i.e., Auburn) but USC is ranked higher. Same goes for Notre Dame in that their only loss is to Michigan. How does that work?
But the issue of rankings between Notre Dame and USC will be settled real soon when they go head-to-head.

If you really follow USC you know the story. They've beaten the best competition in Arkansas, Nebraska and Cal in games that were not close. The best part this USC team is so young with only 6 seniors on the 2 deep chart. The defense has found itself. The DB's have to be the youngest on any of the top 25 teams. Now they are gelling and learning the system.
Any team will have trouble with USC even Ohio State. If Michigan's WR's had success against OSU wait till USC has its chance.

USC is ranked just about where they should be, if anything maybe it should be Ohio State - Michigan - Florida - USC. Notre Dame is ranked FAR TO HIGH. I wouldn't even put them in the top 10 to be honest.

I think that USC is over rated and will be smashed by Ohio State if they were to take the #2spot. I think Michigan State should keep the #2 spot. Everybody seen that those two teams put up a hell of a game and either one could win it in a neutral location for the Championship.
USC has two tough games still ahead of them (ND and UCLA) so we'll see what happens. I have them losing one of them.

Both teams are overrated. USC has done a lot after losing so much talent...and ND, it's just their name that gets people thinking they are good when you look at the record. Simply, both are ranked too high, esp USC.

Now give me one reason why ND should be ranked higher than USC! Ask again after they play each other. Why is ND ranked higher than Wisconsin?

ND should not even be in the top 5... they have lost to Michigan and have played a very easy schedule... Army, Navy... come on...
The only teams that should be eligible to play OSU are Florida, Michigan, and then USC depending on the outcomes of remaining schedules

I think they are both overrated actually. Although I also don't want to see Michigan and OSU again for the National Championship so don't care which one ends up at number 2, and expect to see one of them there.
