For a cheap prom dress you can go to any department store like JCPennys, Maceys, and Famous Barr but in plus size go to those stores.

Consignment stores and department stores would be my first choices. I don't know for sure who will have a yellow one, sorry yellow isn't a popular color right now, but it can't hurt to try. Also try local bridal stores for sales. Many times an end of season dress, or a display model gown, will go on sale for almost nothing.
And don't ever forget eBay. You really can find anything there, eventually anyway.

Try a second hand store, Goodwill usually has some nice dresses cheap!

Try a consignment shop or even buying one off the rack at a bridal shop

I suggest you try the local bridal stores. They usually have bride's maid dresses people are trying to sell.

I agree with Dira. I got my prom dresses at Penny's My first one costed me 30.00 because it was on sale. My second was 50.00...no one knew I had spent so little.
