I'm due Dec 24th with my second and I have gd. I'm watching my levels and sticking to the diet, and my doc says everything is fine. I wouldn't worry as long as your controlling it. Good luck!!!

my neice had gd but it was unfortunetly missed.she ended up having a c-section cause the baby was huge.she was 10 pounds 4 oz!!she had to be put in the nicu for a few days because her sugar lavels were to high but all is fine now!shes a healthy beautiful 4 year old!but that only happened because my neice didnt have the knowledge that she had this condition and therefore she didnt take care of herself the way a diabetic should.as long as you followed the rules everthing should be fine!!good luck and congrats!!

I had it with my second. I had to follow the diabetics diet and take insulin. She was only 6lbs7oz. If you follow the rules the baby won't be huge. If you cheat the baby will be big plus you jeopardize both your health and the baby's. Once you give birth, it goes away.

Good luck

I was borderline with my first and had it with my second. I was able to control it with diet. I had a planned c-section one week before due date. Baby weighed 7lbs, 7oz. I wouldn't worry too much about baby getting too big as long as you are watching your levels. I was induced with my first with pitossin and it caused harder contractions early. After 27 hours of labor, they decided to do a c-section because she wouldn't turn over.

I had it and kept it under control, but ended up delivering at 33 weeks gestation because of preclampsia. My baby was 4.14 ounces when she was born...

Good luck and congratulations! I wouldn't worry too much...
