Will the shingles seal properly in this cold weather?

It would be better in the spring or summer. If you need to change it in the cool part of the year you should use Owens-Corning shingles. They will seal down in about any kind of weather.

Normally you'd want to tackle a task like this in the summer,when you'll only have to worry about rains.It's warmer,so you won't have an astronomical heating bill.I'd say hold out until at least may before thinking of a new roof.
