Oscars are rather smart. I had a friend who kept oscars and he actually trained them to eat from his hand and even turn thir side to the surface to be petted by him when he tapped the top pf the water.
I don't know exactly how he trianed them.

yes Oscars are very smart they no when you come into the room and they will feed from your hand they also have their own personality

oscars are pretty smart. but i have a few different types of fish and i would have to say my stingray by far is the smartest.
