Sorry about ya...the Wings won't win the cup this year. They will have a hard enough time getting through the Western Conference this year and even if they survived teams like Anaheim, San Jose, and Dallas, they would have to then face one of the real beasts of the East. I don't know if Buffalo has what it takes to go the distance, but if they do, Detroit would never be able to keep up with their speed. Hasek's a legend, but he's over 40, has a weak groin, and no longer has the killer instinct that made him a Vezina winner. I think the Wings are still one of the grittiest and most intimidating teams in the NHL, but their age and scoring threats can't match up with some of the younger and stronger teams out there.

The better question is, will they lose once again to the 8th seeded Western Conference team? Or possibly to the 7th or 6th since San Jose and Anaheim are better teams in the west. Everyone on this choke job of a team is getting SSI already.

No because face Edmonton, or Calgary, or Anaheim in the First Round and Lose, like last year.

Stanley Cup Pick Montreal and Anaheim.

I hate to admit it, but it belongs to the Hurricanes. In another sense, it could be said that it belongs to the Canadiens due to their 24 championships. (My records say 22, but I'll go with the number from their website)

Own it? They won't even be able to rent it. It will be taking up residency in Pittsburgh at the end of the year.
