Start by writing a sypnosis of the book and the marketing plan. You might want to have it revised and edited as well. If you want to send it to a publisher they will ask you for the first two chapters.
Buy or get a copy of Writer's Market and find a publisher that would be interested in your book. On that book you'll be able to find the publisher's information, how to submit and how to contact them. Each publisher is different so it's important that you know what they are looking for and what to include or not in your submission.
Good Luck!

There are many self-publishing companies available.... you have to pay the bucks, usually based on quantity, pages, etc. but they will publish it. Morris Publishing is a well-known and a good one.
If you are not interested in self-publishing, the process is long, involved and very often discouraging....you must gather info about publishing companies, write letters, submit queries, send off chapters, schmooze with editors, face repeated rejections, compromise, rewrite, regurgitate, stain your manuscript with tears, lock yourself in a room and vow never to write again, use your manuscript as a dart board, bite your nails down to the quick, go to Maine, start over, quit, start again, give up, take up photography, write notes on your arms, blame the computer, read Mad magazine, brood, stew, simmer, burn, laugh, chortle, snicker, weep, moan......
got it?
