He was vocal about what he believed in. That doesn't make him bad. In America, you don't have to agree with someone's political views or otherwise, but respect the right to express them. John Lennon just wanted everyone to get along and live peacfully. What's wrong with that??

When I think of John Lennon, I think of an icon. I like John during and after the Beatles. Musically, I prefer the solo material over the Beatles material. John was a very special man. He thought for himself and had the strength to question authority. He was a man of love. He just adored his wife and children so much. His relationship with Julian was shakey, but he still loved him regardless. John was such a crafty lyricist as well. Even though they are simple songs, Mind games, Cold Turkey and Mother still gives me chills. The songs seem to be better because I know they are sincere. I know where John Lennon came from. I know his humble beginnings. I was only 1 when Lennon was shot cold blooded, but I still have the luxury of listening to his voice in recordings that will be past on for quite some time I bet. Lennon is up there with Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and Bob Marley to me.

Is this a trick question? Hope you have a lot of free time cause I think your gonna have a lot of reading to do. Everyone loves John, and everyone loves talking about him. Do you really think someone (in thier right mind) is gonna post an anti-(John) Lennon note on any web site? He's loved world wide, for many reasons. And most people don't even know why they do. And who cares why. Through his short life he was able to combind great music and socialism to convey positive 'vibes' to millions of people and became a symbol of peace, love, and ..... social terrorism. What a shame... a nice English bloke comes to grace our beloved country, trys to share his insight with the world and he gets shot by some selfish american terrorist. What a terrible, bloody shame! A sign of things to come?-Maybe..... A wonderful man that has been able to teach the whole world; in life and death, that ONE PERSON CAN CHANGE THE WORLD! But it's up to everyone to live out that change..............And let's not forget, he "needed a little help from his friends" (as we all do) Paul, George, and Ringo.............(and yoko too).

I think of his "poetry" books which are SO cool and the fantastics song writer and artist he was and how I wish he were still alive! I personally liked him pre Yoko Ono. She is one weird person and he became even stranger than he was after her. Sean is cool, though. And I love "Imagine".
