Oil change every 3000 or so miles. Its best to rotate your tires every other oil change. as for the rest of the maint. you should look in your owners manual.
Depending on your car get spark plugs changed at 100,000 miles or less.
Air Filter every 20 to 30,000 miles
Trans Fluid every 60 - 75,000 miles
Coolant (antifreeze) every 60 - 100,000 miles
Fuel Filter every 30 - 60,000 miles.
Again look in you handbook it will have a guideline.

Most of what you hear is true about oil changes, the more you drive the more it needs changing. 15 thousand miles is the norm now for driving in a year, based on $30 plus dollars at your quickie lube shops it can get pretty expensive if your not able to do it yourself. My best advice to you is to follow the owners manual ,it has both categories that best suit your needs. Hard ,stop and go, high temps driving habits are under the severe type of driving. If you don't drive as often as 5 or 10 thousands miles in a year then the money you save can elsewhere. Think of it as , the more you use it the more it needs to be looked at. The local tire shop can do a "maintenance schedule" for you based on your needs. It will be cheaper too cause you'll get coupons once a month as a bonus for being a costumer.
Good Luck...

oil change is reccommend every 3000 miles, but everyone says that because the maintenance company wants money, it's actually only needed every 5000 miles, or 3 months whichever comes first, or when your change oil light in your car comes on, tires should be rotated every 15-20000 miles, just have them check at each oil change how the ware on the tires are, have them balanced when they are rotated otherwise your car will feel horrible, transmission flush is reccommended every 60000 miles which is about right, and also get your spark plugs checked about the same time, it's a good idea to get what they call a "tune up" about 60000 miles also, which will include changing your spark plugs.

You change the oil every 3 months or 5000 miles according to the manual. You rotate the tires every 10,000 miles and you have a check done for preventative maintance every 30,000

Change oil AND filter every 3,000-5,000 miles, depending on driving habits. (3,000 if most driving is city stop & go, or dusty conditions)
Rotate tire every 2nd oil change UNLESS front wheel drive, then every oil change.
Lube grease fittings
Clean injectors 15,000
check air filter
check fuel filter

change oil every 5000km and I would rotate tires once a yr. Have the battery checked and have them check all the fluids.
