For me, it all started with Firestarter by Stephen King... I can still feel the headache and the huge endorphin rush after finishing it! After reading that book, I was hooked on his book and read about 23 of them in a few months... Now, I've laid off of it...
However, then there's Touching Spirit Bear which got me hooked on young adult books... lol... :-)

mine was "the hand" (I believe that was the name) by steven king. I was a teenager then, and like you, I went out and read as many of his I could.

Carrie by Stephen King in umm, 1980, lol

Watchers by Dean Koontz (when he was still using Dean R. Koontz, don't know why he dropped the middle intial)

Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice

Swan Song by Robert McCammon


Non-horror

Fried Green Tomatoes at the Wistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flag

Red Clay, Blue Caddilac by Micheal Malone

The Color Purple by Alice Walker

Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury
I have read Neverwhere by Neil Guiman and loved that too

I own so many books of King and stien and bradbury and countless others I feel like a dragon with a horde of gold that is books

Any of Kurt Vonnegut or Dan Browns books. Loved Slaughterhouse 5 by Vonnegut but could NOT put down the DaVinci Code by Dan Brown.

I read Hot Six by Janet Evanvich in one afternoon. Then i ran out a bought the previous 5. I get so excited each time there is a new one. She is so funny.

peter benchley, jaws, i since read jaws about 5 times, i stopped cause i lost the book, white shark, the beast, (read x2), shark trouble, i also read pet cemetary x2, & read "It" which to this day is the only book that has scared me, & i used to love the scary stories series, i used to read comic books a lot when i was in middle school but could'nt keep up with the story lines but lately i buy the books that come with the complete story
