It depends what type of aquarium u have and what are the fish sizes. but basically they eat all type of flake foods, pallets, freeze and dried worms, live worms, etc....now the bottom feeders will search for the foods which have fallen down such as sinking pellets and the flakes which will fall down during the feeding frenzy....u can all give them boiled beans, cucumber sliced into smaller parts...that will improve their color...if the fishes are big in ur aquarium, u can give them smaller fishes to feed. They also scrap out algae from the aquarium which they love as snacks. :)

Usually it other fish smaller than them. My regular tropical fish I just give them Flake Fish Food, most well known brands are fine. Sometimes I may buy a cheap plant that I know some will eat. Algae eaters I have the algae growing in the tank and it is plenty, but, I like to give those Algae Wafers some too, it help them grow better. For my Oscars they get a minnow a day and table scrapes like a dog. They eat most things we well; Scrambled eggs, chicken, hamburger, green beans. Some of the other small fish will eat this also, but, it has to be such a minute amount because of size I just give the flake food. Do not over feed your fish, 3-5 minutes food should be gone. I feed mine (Not Oscars) 4-6 times a day. I just give a little throughout the day as I walk by the tank. Goldfish are Bulimic, they will eat, puke, and eat more, this why many tanks get cloudy as people overfeed them, my Orandas eat 6-8 times a day in small amounts and their tank is never cloudy. There many ways of doing this and many work well, this how I do it.

this question is kind of vague. There are so many species of fish that eat so many different foods. I tend to go overboard with mine. I go as far as buying live worms at the bait store to give them a good variety of fresh and prepacked foods.
