I had the mirena coil removed on the 13th oct, i had sex on the 4th November (with proection) but the condom split. The next day i had emergency contraception. It has now been 2 weeks but still no period. I have taken a test but its negative. Because i was on the coil i dont know about my cycle. I did have a bleed when i had it removed for about 4 days. Can anyone help me out with this.
cheers

Emergency contraception (or the morning after pill) is highly effective. I doubt you are pregnant. It will take your body time to adjust after removing the coil. Don't worry... you've done everything right. Take another test in 2 weeks if you are still concerned (if you had sex on the 4th, it is early to expect results from an EPT)

I was under the impression that when you take emergency contraception (such as the morning after pill) it's supposed to induce your period to come early. Hmmm...that might be worth seeing a doctor about.

I would say that because you were on Mirena, your cycle is probably messed up and there's no way of telling when it's supposed to come. It could be due next week and you're worrying for nothing. Or it could be absent for a few months while your body starts to regulate itself again.

It's possible you could be pregnant, but not likely. I'd wait another week (I know it's hard!) and then if your period hasn't arrived, take a test. If it comes up negative but you're still wondering, see your gynaecologist.

Your body needs and will take time to re-couperate. Remember that such contraceptions affect you hormones, and this can take time to return to normal, and so with your cycles. Most doctors will tell you to allow about a year for the affects of these types of contraception (coil, implantation, injection and pills) to leave your body. No need to really panic, but stress can also stop your cycle. Just chill and if your still weary in a couple of weeks, take a test to be sure, or go see your doc

Your cycle is probley off give it some time if the test said negative then more in likely you are not pregnant, but if you are still worried make a call to your Doc. and get checked out.

When you've been on something like this, it can muck up your cycle. I was on the injection for ages and came off it in August, i'm still not back to normal yet. Doctor told me it could be a while coz your body is trying to get used to working differently again.

I think you are safe, and not pregnant. You have taken all the precautions.
Your period is yet to settle into a cycle.
Stress won't help!. So chill

you should wait 28 days after the 13th, then if you dont know if you should have it, you should try the day day after pill. if you dont get your period then id go to the doctor. you only need to take 2 birth conrtol pills if you dont have emergency consepation. Take them both at the same time. dont take them the next day. you may only need three days to get your period after the pills.
good luck

You're probably fine - I'm sure it'll just take a little time for your body to get readjusted. I doubt you're pregnant.
