My blokey is having problems with his D600 de-charging the battery. We bought a new battery thinking it needed a new one, but it makes no difference. I think it is the phone doing it somehow. Has anyone else found this problem with their D600 Samsung phone????

best bet if the phone is still under warranty then pop it along to a carphone warehouse express repair centre

with a proof of purchase, and let them have a look at it... dont waste any more money on bateries etc if the phone is doing something else internally, a new battery often doesn't solve the hidden problem, if the problem is diagnosed and repaired then with your new battery you should not over charge the battery in future, 1-2 hours maximum is all that is needed and try to only charge when the battery says it is flat, and periodically run the battery completely down and a then follow with a long 3-4 hour charge... Other things to consider... even though the phone is not being used it is still using battery power, if you are in an area of poor network coverage this will mean the battery has to work harder thus drain quicker, the standby times quoted by the manufacturer are based on optimum conditions...ie: living next to a cell site, the phone on standby and never receiving a call text etc or even lighting the screen up... screen savers and animations will all count to the use of the battery... ensure you dont leave the bluetooth on all the time, it accounts for about 15% of battery usage, set the brightness to a lower setting and adjust the amount of time the backlight stays on also..if you still have problems or cant live with it then buy a nokia 6310 my old one lasted for weeks between charges..but not the prettiest phone ever made lol

I have the precise kind that you've. the issue with the battery is that it by no potential holds its value. I have offered new batteries and they nonetheless do not carry the price. you're SOL with that. i'm very sorry. I save it on the charger virtually for all time.

Do you mean re-charging, if so perhaps your charger is knackered. Get one from a market or somewhere and ask for a receipt (or better still get them to test it for you). That way if it isn't the charger you can get your money back.
If it isn't the charger take it to a mobile shop and get it looked at.
