Do you think any of the lawsuits pending against "Borat" aka Sacha Baron Cohen have any merit? Would there of been any lawsuits had the movie tanked? If you think they have merit, Why? And, had you been interviewed by the Borat persona, would you of been like "Wait, hold up a second, are you kidding me?"

I think SBC did a great job showing that old discriminations and hatreds still exist. People are willing to put on a facade to deal with others, and demonstrate a vast lack of knowledge of other people and cultures. I think the most honest people in the entire movie were the guys hanging out that taught him how to be a "thug." What are your thoughts?

I think the fact that the movie has been such a hit has contributed to the number of lawsuits since obviously there's money out the wazoo to be had. That said, I felt sorry for those poor villagers. They are so poor that I would want them to have been paid a bit more than they were. I don't think that they fully understood how much money this movie might make or they may have wanted a bigger sum of money (nothing ridiculous, but come on.. they *need* the money!).

I don't, however, condone any sort of money-grabbing even from the villagers after they had already agreed to the amount they were paid. I just wonder if they were given the full picture about how much the movie could potentially bring in money-wise. But if they were aware of how this wasn't some low-budget film and still agreed to that small amount then that's their own fault.

Dude, it's just a movie. Whatever happened to free speech? If we can't make fun of our culture and beliefs, then free speech is just a joke in itself.

As far as discrimination goes, a few weeks ago I wore a full headscarf to hide some stictches along my hairline, it made me look sort of middle eastern, like a muslim. You would not believe the way I was treated by our wonderful "open" society. I had people actually tell me they didn't want to do business with me. Just awful.

I am willing to wager that each one of those people who are threatening a lawsuit signed a release that will cause their cases to get the boot.

Some people are that dumb as to think things like this won't happen.

There is a camera there, what do you think?

I feel the cases will get dismissed
