I know of only one way to do this without using the usual pine type cleaners which only seems to mask the order to only have it return.your not saying how big your freezer is, but her goes. After removing all the meat from the freezer wash it down with a bleach solution 1 part bleach 3parts warm water, wash and dry throughly. then use a big box of baking soda mix it with water making it pasty. bush this on with a clean paint brush all over the freezer. allow to dry lid or door open. Now again was it down with the bleach and water, and one more time with just warm water until all traces of the baking soda are gone. this should do the trick. For some reason baking soda absorbs all the odor.....good Luck

Plug the freezer back in and refreeze the meat and items. When they are frozen remove them, That will take away the source of the odor. Un plug and defrost, let air out for a few days, wash thoroughly with bleach water, rinse well and it should be OK>

honestly what probably happened is as everything thawed and melted any "meat juice" creeped its way into every crevace and corner of your freezer bottom. check for any tight corners for these dried juice blots that will stink. what you may have to do is get a cleaning mixture made and basically fill your freezer bottom with it. with the amount of moisture that was in your freezer that melted when you opened the door did it all come gushing out? if so the smell might have made its way into the fridge and underneath. you might want to take the time to dimember the whole thing and look deep inside to find any spots. but it will take some good time to clean. it may be worth it to buy a new fridge unless the one your have is or was brand new. good luck!

Use bleach, and let it stay open for a couple of days. You will need to totally take it apart and clean each part. The more you clean with bleach and let it stay open, the more the smell will fade. There is no miracle that will make it go away. Always keep baking soda in there too. When there is no food in there, you can also put charcoal in it. I tried everything after Katrina, this is what worked best. Can't even tell now.

I had to use a lot of towels to mop up the blood in the bottom of the deep freeze when all the steaks went bad. Then I wiped it down with more damp towels with baking soda on them. Then used more damp towels to rinse the baking soda off. Dry well with more towels, leave the lid/door open for a couple days with a box of baking soda in it. Then throw that out and put in a new box and you're good to go.

Clean your freezer with baking soda, lay newspapers on the bottom of freezer and take a bag of charcoal out of the bag and lay the charcoal on the newspaper, this will remove the Oder. Leave until you don't notice the smell.

use soapy water with a little bleach. it's the bacteria causing the odor, so bleach with soapy water should do and you want it sanitized. after you clean it, put a box of baking soda in to keep it fresh.

Baking Soda does work really good, you are going to have to get a couple of boxes to put in there.
