This is an odd situation but i wont to know what you all think.
At my work as most you get discretionary time after 90 days, and they determine how many days by how long it is from the end of the year then in jan you get all new ones. After a year at my work you also get 5 vacation days.
Here comes the question.
I was working at my job and had 3 DDays i used 2, i then got sick and had to resign for medical reasons for about 2 months. Then i was rehired. I was rehired about 3 months from my year mark. One of my Vps said that i have 2 Ddays because i'm counted as a 'new hire' and i start the way anyone started (so no vacation) at my time does, another VP said that i have no vacation days and no Ddays. I think I should get one or the other... your imput?

And shouldnt i at least get the 1 i never used before getting sick? the second vp is saying he remembers me using it, but i never did, and its not in our attendence system

Sounds like the VPs need to get together and be more consistent! It is of concern to me that they are so scattered in figuring this out!

To me, I can see the arguement both are making. However, if going the route of saying you already used your days, I think they need to have documentation of that in the system somewhere.
