What sleeve size are you buying? 16 inch neck shirts typically come in two choices of sleeve size, 32/33 and 34/35. Obviously, it seems as if you need the smaller one. However, if that size is still too long, then you'll just have to have the sleeves tailored, or find a specialty clothing retailer that sells odd sizes. I have a similar problem with suits. My shoulders and chest are so big that I need a 54 jacket, but I only wear a 38 pant.

Dress shirts come in collar and sleeve-length size. Example: 16/32 means a 16" collar with a 32" sleeve.

You just bought one with the sleeves too long.

check for sleeve measurements on the shirt. If you like a shirt and the sleeves are still too long then you make have to sacrifice the next size and go one up? It doesnt matter what size the neck is if you dont need to wear a tie with the shirt

Look for a shorter sleeve length. If you've already purchased the shirt and can't return it, take it to a tailor. They can hem the sleeves for probably $10-15.

Go to a good dry cleaners and ask them to open the seam where the cuff connects to the sleeve and pleats, and remove the extra length. If they're any good, they'll be able to create new pleats and shorten the sleeve.
Good luck.

Buy some of those elasticy things that hold your sleeves up. Great for under a jkt or jumper. Not recommended if you only wear a shirt tho.

Anytime you buy a shirt with measurements like that you can choose the sizes that you need. As long as they are not too extreme anyway. Dillards and JC Penney in any mall should have a selection for you with the measurements that you need.
