Nope, it's not just you. Traditional gender roles are disappearing, and we have no one to blame but ourselves. After decades of telling them they need to "open up" "express their feelings" and "get in touch with their feminine side" woman have essentially told men that it's not OK to be rough and tough anymore. And women have made it worse by making them learn all about fashion and style, and the non-essentials of personal care that used to be "for women only" like manicures, pedicures, and facials. Yes, he needs to be clean and well groomed, but there is a limit to what I think a man needs to do to look nice.

I think that a man can be both sensitive to his partner, and keep his masculine side. There is no reason he can't play in mud or grease all day, then take a shower and be romantic with his wife that night. And who cares if he knows how to dress, we're going to help pick out his outfits for nice occasions anyway. His fingernails need to be trimmed, but he doesn't need them buffed or painted with a clear coat to make them shine. I could go on all day, but I think this is starting to get too long as it is :-) So I'll just finish with a "Thank God my husband is a real man!"

I think men are becoming two extremes. Either feminine or extremely harsh. I'm sure their are still a few in the middle but, yes ... there are several men I find today that have a very feminine lifestyle. And the others I meet seem to be extremely gruff with no feminine characteristics at all.

Social expectations change over time. 100 years ago, pink was considered masculine and blue was considered girly. The trends we see today aren't really people becoming more like the opposite sex. It's just that the definitions of masculine and feminine are changing. Cracked did a good article a while back. "5 Gender Stereotypes that used to be the opposite". Warning before you go to that site--make sure you have a couple of hours, because you'll probably keep clicking on other interesting headlines.

Hey there,

Well, that's good question LOLÜ men nowadays are becoming more feminine than woman. My answer is based from experience. That's why. I've already proven it. HahahaÜ Cause I had a boyfriend and he keeps on putting some powder on his face and petroleum jelly and all those cosmetics. He even takes a bath with his perfume and he doesn't want anybody, including me, to touch his hair cause according to him, it would be all messed up. LOLÜ sometimes, I accuse him of being a gay because of all those feminism but I realized that men just want women to be impressed with them. You know, I think this is one of a milllion reasons why a woman gets impressed with a man. But of course, sometimes, it's too annoying. LOLÜ and oh,btw, he doesn't want his car to get messed up too. He gets mad even if it's just a drop of coffee that landed into his seats. LOLÜ

So, yeah.Ü Just shared my experience LOLÜ

Yah take care.

Yes, the pressure is on men to look their finest. All us ladies, have a huge crush on david beckingham, so men need to be competitive and show that they can be twice as nice looking. I like a man fine-looking. Meow!

It's your fault, girls! You want to be the dominant gender and force men to take a backseat. You want to dominate men, yet you don't want them to become feminine. You can't have it both ways. Things like that happen when you upset the natural order.

its the latter because now a days femmininity is caring about how you look so much that you spend a ton of time in front of the mirror. also girls usualy wear tight clothes and lots of pink and yellow (typical but not allways true) but now it has become cool for guys got get eating disorders become disgustingly thin and wear tight pants and pink shirts that say dumb sh!t. on friday i saw a guy who's legs were bone thin and he was wearing skin tight jeans. it looked like black cloth wrapped around sticks holding up a small bundle of sticks in a jacket with a faux fur lined hood and a skater backpack. so yeah guys are becoming more feminine because they care too fu*kin much about how thin they are and how tight their pants are.

As time goes on, both men and women are becoming less tied to their "traditional" roles and free to be who they want. If that means a man appears more "feminine" or a woman more "masculine" then maybe you need to adjust your perception. It's called "evolution" of the species.

Society has advanced the feminist agenda since the mid-sixties and what is happening is the result of 40 years of neglecting biological diffrences that God equiped each sex with. For example, physical combat.
