Passing through there in January (8-10th) and I'm having real trouble finding somewhere to stay (in or near Mooloolaba) where we can stay - most places have 5 night policies that time of year.
We would prefer an apartment for 2 Adults.

firstly a really bad time of the year to choose to stay there.
you are in the highest of all high seasons you can book 2 nights stays at the breakfree caribean or beach club via

but expect to pay through the teeth for it. the beach club is $693.00 for a resort room for 2 nights
also try for lesser know resorts via this website it is the offical website of the maroochy tourism
