why do most girls say the first thing they look at is trainers when see a boy??

Good question, I put this to the test as this seems to be an issue with people today.

Whilst in Maccy D's the other day, I inspected the footwear of the customers and staff. It seems you can tell quite a bit about a person (although it is a form of stereo typing and judgemental behaviour which I find distasteful).

Things I noticed in order of importance:-

How clean
The general look
If they suited the person
If went well with the rest of their attire
How big they were in comparison to the rest of the body
Make/label

Sounds to me like they have confidence issues. If trainers/sneakers are the first thing on a guy that they see, that means that they're looking downward and only meet guys when they hop to avoid tripping over them.

Women should hold their heads up so they can look a guy in the eyes. That's confidence!

Some girls have a fetish for shoes maybe! Me personally I look at their eyes and smile when I meet a guy, then their butt and then I see what kind of shoes they wear! Some girls are high maintenance, and if you don't have nice clean shoes, they may think you can't afford them, or your plain trashy! Also a lot of the time you can tell what a person is like by their shoes. I mean if a girl is wearing high heels with a pair of pants it means she is girly where as if they wear flip flops she is laid back, or tennis shoes she is an athlete. Things like that!

Really? I know that's not the first thing I look at, personal hygiene is for me.
Maybe they want to judge how much money you might have; your clothes could be nice, but cheap shoes is a give away for some that you are poor.
Maybe they want to judge how clean you are; if your shoes are a mess, maybe they think that means you are a slob.
Maybe they want to judge whether or not you have good taste. It's easy to follow whatever trend to look good in your clothing choices, you just wear what someone else wears if you don't have our own style, but shoes are something you almost have to pick out on your own.

I'm just guessing here, honestly it sounds very shallow to me to worry about a guy's shoes before you get to know him.

Trainers? That's the last place I'd look! It's the eyes for me-you can tell a lot from someone's eyes!
But in all honesty,I have no interest in a guy's footwear! I'm much more interested in the type of person he is.

Trainers-they work out and are cool
Cowboy boots-if u go by my mate then they're gay
sandals-don't get me started on them
Flip Flops- in summer ok like Russell Brand he's cute.

the reason girls look at trainers or footwear is because from a phycological point of view3 it can say a lot about you...for example..if you wear shiny shoes that are very clean..you aint likly to be a skateboarder..if you wear plimsoles with a rip in the side...you aint liky to be on your way to an important meeting..get what im saying holmes...you can tell if somone follows fashion, has thier own style..keeps it simple etc etc etc!!

By the way, we call them running shoes or runners here. The only thing we call trainers are people who work in the gym with their clients and also there are trainer pants for children who are potty training. lol

Its a good way to gauge the guy, by what shoes hes wearing and what state they are in. I check womans shoes too, but its not the first thing I look at. Eyes and hands too. And I aint shallow. Its called first impressions. Its how you judge the person makes you shallow.
