In the US in the near future almost anything related to health care is going to be big. The big group of baby boomers is getting old. In general any profession that is difficult to get into in going to be rewarding. The more math requirements that a given subject has the more money you are likely to be paid for practicing it. Try to avoid the fuzzy subjects. Remember the old joke about how you get a BS in psychology off your front porch --- you pay for the pizza
