Im 20 years old, and no matter how much sleep I get I can never eailsy get up in the morning. I always lie in bed for more sleep no matter how much sleep Iv had (sometimes could be 13 hours, sometimes 5 etc.). Is there any way that I could increase my ability to get up in the morning, as Im constantly late for work and other things. Oh, and I dont like coffee, and wouldnt be able to get out of bed to make one even if I wanted to, lol. Thanks in advance,

Dan

It takes practice forcing yourself to get up to an alarm without caving to that voice in your head that thinks it's ok to hit snooze. Leave something *unfinished for yourself to pick up on in the morning. Tell yourself as you get into bed that you will get up immediately. Picture yourself getting up in the morning to *finish:

* The Mail
* The end of a half-watched movie rental
* A pets feeding
* Something that needs fixed.
* Clip your nails of one hand/foot (the one you left for morn)
* An interesting half-read magazine article
* Leave swept dust in a dust pan to dump, anything you can leave undone around the house that would drive you nuts.
* The answer to a riddle you left for the morning
or some kind of unfinished puzzle game
* Leave comet in the tub to rinse in the morn
* Ask someone to write you a note (you can tell them why)

I'm not sure the name of it, but these guys in CA invented the best alarm clock for people in your situation. It is a highly durable alarm clock on wheels. Every night before you go to bed you set the alarm clock and leave it on you night stand or where ever. Then in the morning it will go off and make a very loud and very obnoxious noise. In addition it will roll off you night stand and to a different part of the room everyday. So you are forced to get out of bed and go find the dang thing to get it to shut up. By the time you've done all that you're fairly awake.
I have similar problems, I'm a fairly cheerful morning person, it's just that initial getting out of bed that I'm no good at. I use the snooze button but I limit myself to only 3 snoozes and turn the TV on around snooze 2 or 3 to get my mind to start waking up. Best of luck to you, I feel your pain!

Take 500 mg Vitamin C just before retiring and you'll pop up like a new toaster in the morning...

put an alarm clock next to your bed, and put another one across the room. Works for me.... makes you have to get out of bed//
