I have asked this question previously and 17 out of 20 people were all for gay marriages. I am also for gay marriages, although I am not a homosexual. I am doing a poll and I need a yes or no question. Do you oppose gay marriage or are you for it? Why?

I'm a Gay Marriage supporter, I think our country was founded on the principal "liberty and justice for all." It in my opinon, would be a contradiction to our constitution, if we discriminated againgst homosexual couples tying the knot. I also know of many gay couples who have been together and desire commitement.

No!! A marriage is a bond between 2 people of different sexes. It is an institution to be exploit for the healthy upbringing of children. Up to now children can't be produced in a "marriage" between two gays. Initially marriage was a simple bond between two people of different sexes. Through changes in customs and habits it develops in this spectical we are used to lately. I beleive initially it consists of only a mutual agreement to establish a safe and loveable environment to have children in and to be faithful to each other to maintain that environment. What is in it for a gay couple to have an official bond like a marriage. If there is a need for such a bond, why call it a marriage. Can't it be called something else. Is this not just a nasty selfish reaction on society to punnish it for not excepting gay relationships?

I'm all for it. I think committed same-sex relationships should be afforded the same rights and priveledges that are given to heterosexual couples. No one has ever been able to explain to me why gay marriage is so dangerous.

And no, churches would never be forced to perform gay marriage ceremonies if they don't want to - just like now a Catholic church can't be forced to marry a Jewish couple.

I'm for it. I've never heard a convincing argument against it, ever, especially as the main reason thrown out is "God says its BAD, durrr." Last I checked this wasn't a theocracy. Marriage is essentially an automatic right when you're straight; why should it be denied when you're not?

I am for gay marriage. I believe that people should be able to marry whoever they love (with the exception of small children, close relatives and farm animals), regardless of whether that person is of the same sex or not. We, as a society, should not have a say in this matter. Everyone has their own lives. Let them live it and spend it with whomever they want.

I am for gay marriage. Because Gay people should be afforded the same rights and privileges of straight Americans.

I am completely for it. if 2 consenting, unrelated adults love each other and are committed to each other, it shouldn't matter what their gender, race, religion or culture is. they should have the same legal rights and benefits of marriage as anyone else. my partner and I are registered domestic partners and have had a commitment ceremony, but we want to be "legal." "civil unions" is nothing but separate but equal segregation. and marriage is NOT just a religious right! I'm so tired of the endless religious bigotry.

I am for it because if u luv sum1 n u wanna get married then u shud. It is just like when black people had to stand up to let a white person sit down. I they hadn't changed that lw then black people will still be bossed around by the white. Therefor, if they want to gett then they should because it isn't up to us to decide. I am definatly for it. I am not guy i just say that u should do if u want to.

Of course you got 17 out of 20 being for it. You asked it in a GAY room. Go ask it in the religion room of some other room.

This is like going in to a bar ans saying "would anyone like a drink?"

Your control group is wrong.

Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve

Marriage is a union between a MAN and a WOMAN ONLY
