I watched The Catherine Tate Show and, I have to say, the majority of sketches didn't make me laugh or even smile. Ms Tate is also seriously arrogant.
My Hero is another awful "comedy" programme. I don't know how it got commissioned and how it's managed to last so long. The show's creators must have friends in high places. It's like a really bad children's show except it's put on at night for adults. It's rubbish.

miss jocelyn
However, I am firmly of the opinion that if you dont like a show, you dont have to watch it. The BBC do a lot of comedy shows, some click with the audience, some dont. some become real classics and last for ages. there are obviously enough people who watch catherine tate, to make it worthwhile for the BBC to commision another series. you only have to walk past a group of schoolkids and hear the catchphrase, to realise how popular it is with some groups.
miss jocelyn seems to have generated no interest anywhere, and I will be surprised if they make another series
{edit} to anastascia....the best comedies are not the ones with belly laughs all the way through....I would say that the best comedy of recent times is 'league of gentlemen', which is very dark - even viscious - at times

The BBC seem to be trying too hard with comedy at the mo and really producing some complete rubbish. It seems to me that people only say they like Little Britain or Catherine Tate because they think they should and there are some catch phrases to be had for use in the playground.

It has to be Miss Jocelyn.....i just think it is totally unfunny. I've never seen a show thats so crap, even catherine tate beats miss jocelyn.
Saying that tho, i dont think theres any one show that is completely funny all the way through....i think friends is great for a good laugh sometimes though even friends is not funny all the way through. I think its pretty difficult to find a show thats funny all the way thru.

I have said this before at the risk of life and limb, I can't stand Ricky Gervais, he irritates the life out of me. Oh and a personal thingie, I can't watch anything with canned laughter. I mean!!!

Miss Jocelyn - like an afro-caribbean Catherine Tate but (if possible) even less funny.
That mighty boosh stuff and peep show are complete guff aswell, they're not in the slightest bit amusing. How this tosh get's comissioned I'll never know.

Any comedy show that is on TV now can be crowned as the worst. They are not funny or wise. They are extremely primitive and not appealing at all.

Hmm, i agree ever so slightly. the only thing that annoys me with shows like this is no matter what episode u watch, the same situation in every sketch.
although the one thing i really didnt like in the last couple of years was Scrubs. didnt understand it more than anything
