Well, Scotty,
Go get a few history books and start interviewing veterans. And talk to people on both sides.
Ho Chi Minh is considered the Father of his country. When he died, before the USA and South Vietnam lost the war, South Vietnam declared a day of mourning. That is because he was a national Hero, not a communist or North Vietnamese symbol.
You should go to Vietnam and talk to people there, you may learn a lot.
Most of the rest of your questions are foolish propaganda queries. You should study some history before you ask more questions.

The Viet Cong were the people in the south that fought for the unification of the country under the leadership of the north
The south lost the war because they did not get and maintain the support of the people. The US found out that you can not win a war in a country were the people do not want you to be there. This is something that we have again lost sight of.
Vietnam was divided up after WWII they were supposed to have free elections to decide who would run the whole country but that never happened. There are several schools of thought on who's fault that was.
HCM is considered to be a hero in Vietnam today because his side won. That is the way that history works. HCM was a very smart man and a great leader. He said many things that were true. He did some good and some bad like all leaders. You would have to read a lot more than I am willing to write to answer the rest of your questions. I am an American who served in Vietnam. Therefore what I am telling you is colored by that fact. So it is probably not the truth with a capital T. But is is the truth as best I can tell it. There is a ton of stuff to read about the war. Learn to read Vietnamese so you really get both sides if you really want to know the truth.

i guess u are a son of a south vietnamese soldier who are living in america. your sound is very much likely you got a lot of the hate of Ho Chi Minh from your father.
If that is right, you can't never know the truth with living in such environment. If you really want to know the truth, you have to go out of your ego, your bias and do the research of everything to find it.
otherwise, just keep knowing "the truth" the way as you want it to be.

In the 1950's the United States began to send troops to Vietnam. During the following 25-years the ensuing war would create some of the strongest tensions in US history. Almost 3 million US men and women were sent thousands of miles to fight for what was a questionable cause. In total, it is estimated that over 2,5 million people on both sides were killed.

First and foremost you must understand communism and what it is.Under communist rule there are no human rights or civil rights. The government thinks for you. You do as they say or your imprisoned, killed, both. The viet cong were sympathizer's of the N.V. communists and their front-line. France started the war when viet nam was their colony. The french were cruel and the N.Vietnamese rose up against them and kicked them out of their country. The final victory for them was Den Phen Phu 1956. Why america went there no one really knows.Eisenhower sent advisers to S. vietnam to train the people to fight. S.Vietnam is fertile and good for growing crops mostly rice. N. Vietnam does not have those fertile lands and wanted S. Vietnam for economic reasons. Ho Chi Min was very real. He was a smart man. He sent a letter to president Truman in 1949 asking how to establish a democracy. Truman ignored him and the rest is history/Krueschev and communist russia and 3rd world occupation/ Americans fought russia, china,N.Vietnam together. Democracy lost the battle..S.Vietnam lost the war. I hate bad politics. It gets too many of us killed for nothing.
