No, and if we have any objections, ie humanitarian or otherwise, they should be handled in a CIVILIZED manner...ie. diplomatically with pressure from the UN...right now it's a joke because it's been undermined and not taken seriously because other forces seem to think they have all the authority...so no one respects their power...and the danger is every country starts doing whatever it wants...which is threatening to the entire world population and much more dangerous than what is happening in one little, be it pathetic, little country.
THe middle east IS MIDDLE AGE and always will be...their ways will never change because their religion is what keeps them living the way they do...so who cares...let them live however they choose...but where we went wrong is letting other religions change OUR religious rights in our own country. They should be tolerated but we shouldn't have to shrink back from what we believe either, but we have no right to go to their country and demand they change to our way of life, just to ensure that there is no abuse of people...that much is just plain intolerable and no religion should or would condone that...that is a man made rule to terrorize and control.

We really, really want them to live the way they want to. We as Americans, the real ones who work and live here, want the Iraqi people to have the same rights to **** up as we do. I say let them make thier own mistakes. But our government really really wants thier government to be America friendly. In the end I hope that all Iraqi citizens live with just the freedoms that I have here in America. Our country is not perfect neither will thiers be but if this war gives the average on the street guy a good job with equal pay for women who must work, good schools for their children, decent homes and clean water and freedom to worship in thier own way then perhaps it will ALL not be in vain.

We shouldn't tell them HOW to live just how to live better, making the most of the resources in their country for the betterment of the people. Right now, the Muslim world is living in the stone age. Why can't we help them come into the 21st century with human rights?

The hardest thing to do is how to change the old attitudes of people out there, it can't be done in a year or in one decade?
the bottomline here is to let them understand the real meanings of freedom, freedom and freedom ...and it would be then easy?...for them to know what is democracy... Yes, we have the right, as humans, we have to have the urgency and spirit of helping each other and not fighting to gain control or whatever...
but to work for peace among ourselves as humans.

Hello!!!!
I suggest that you crawl out from under your rock and pay attention!
First of all: The Iraqi people elected the people who wrote their Constitution.
Second of all: The Iraqi people voted for their constitution in a nationwide referendum.
Third of all: The Iraqi people elected their Parliament a year ago.
If you had been paying attention - you would be aware that we have not 'told' the Iraqi people to do anything. Al we did was allow them the opportunity to decide for themselves.

I wonder if I shall live long enuf to see a time when 'our' boys stay here, at home, and are praised for the good works they might do, for our own citizenry? Instead of being 'sent' to other people's homes, asking them to impose our government's idealistic views of what life should be, on their populations? enforcing (by murder and violence) unrealistic 'dreams' of a better life for 'all'. . .

i don't think anyone, and yes INCLUDING USA have any right to tell anyone else how how to live, Bush seriously needs to sort his own country out before he tries "helping" others
