Proper diet and exercise can aid in weight loss, as well as keep you healthy. I know you've heard that before - the challenge is to follow through. Others have lost weight by following these simple guidelines and so can you.

Instructions

* STEP 1: Set small, realistic goals. If you have a lot of weight to lose, try for 2 kgs., relax a bit and then go for 2 more.
* STEP 2: Start a regular exercise program and stick with it. Don't be afraid of those sweatsuits and Lycra pants!
* STEP 3: Exercise outside your routine as well - park at the far end of the parking lot and walk; take the stairs instead of the elevator.
* STEP 4: Eat low fat, high fiber food like salads and vegetable pastas.
* STEP 5: Choose foods that you like. Learn to prepare healthy, low calorie foods that taste good. Eating well doesn't have to mean eating dull!
* STEP 6: Eat smaller, more frequent meals - your body starts to increase its metabolism so that calories are burned faster. Also, "mini meals" can prevent overeating.
* STEP 7: Plan ahead. Keep the fridge stocked with healthy food. You'll be less likely to run out for high calorie, high fat junk food.
* STEP 8: Keep a food diary -this will help pinpoint where you can improve your diet.
* STEP 9: Once you discover your favorite snack time, be sure to have plenty of healthy options available.
* STEP 10: Lose weight with a friend, or join a support group.

Tips & Warnings

* Avoid those vending machines by carrying around your own healthy foods and leaving pocket change at home.
* Choose an exercise program that you enjoy, and don't shun the unconventional - did you know that regular, vigorous dancing is exercise too?
* Lose weight gradually - you are more apt to keep it off. 1 to 1 1/2 pounds per week is considered safe.
* Consult a doctor to find an exercise program that is best for you.
* Crash diets can help you lose weight quickly, but most people gain the weight back. Some are also unhealthy and dangerous. If you choose to go with a specific diet plan, choose one that is medically credible.

Well, you need to trick your stomach... and the way to lose the weight is not by eating less, but by splitting your meal in 2 or 3 portions and eat more times a day , instead of starving yourself and then eating like a horse, you can just eat a little at a time and then eat the other parts 2-3 hours after... That way.. eventually your stomach will think that's all you can eat.. and you will be full without having to eat too much and lose weight at the same time :)

I am sure you know the answer, eat as much as you like but don't swallow. Anyway the real answer is eat only as much as you body will use up in energy. Sit ups about 40 -60 per day but not at the beginning try 20 for a week 30 the next week and so on.
Good luck!

If you want to feel/look better, you have to drink lots of water, don't eat too much junk food, and exercise a little. No one says you have to run the marathon, but being active keeps your metabolism up and burns more calories for you when you are at rest. Otherwise, just plan on that belly getting bigger. Good luck.

Be less sedentary and whenever you can add more movement and action to your life, also avoid excessive indulgence in food and emotions as that also causes you to eat more food to numb the nervousness created thereof.

Also try to find a creative outlet for your energies despite the time constraints you might have around your sedentary job.

Working out in the morning on an empty stomach, before work that is, will greatly help you loose wieght and increase your energy level to help tackle the days tasks. When working out in the morning on an empty stomach your body doesn't have enough calories to burn during, say cardio, so it pulls calories from your body fat for engery. Try running for 20 -30 minutes in the morning. It will help your stomach go down lots.

Drink less beer and exercise more. It worked for my brother.

I have no idea what a "sedentrian" job is, unless you mean "sedentary." Which means definitely up the exercise.
