To be quite honest with you , in the 70s, I had an apartment that sometimes got spiders, that were really creapy looking and I started to using Raid, for them, and I'd pull the cob webs out of the corners,...but then a friend of mine told me, that if I watche which kind of spider came out of the cob web, I might find out its "Daddy Long Legs" and they eat the other spiders, and are harmless to humans, and so I began leaving a couple of the webs, that I found were the daddy long-legged ones, and the other spiders started to disappearing. Not kidding!! They eat even Black widows, I've heard. so, next time you get a cob web, with the broom I'd check it out first. Good-luck.
