there are more than 4 chemical substances in the cells of the jellyfish which when mixed together will glow.
they are the same as the light ring which you usually buy not glowing and straight upon twisting it the chemical substances found in a very small tube inside that ring will break and mix with the second substance to make your ring or what ever light for more than one day.

They glow with electricity which they can make inside themselves. They do it because they are transparent, which makes it hard for them to find a mate.
