Is there a way to spy on my childs computer use? We use the same computer and I am worried about what he is doing on it when I am not home. Is there a way I can have all sites visited sent to an e-mail? Or something similar? He is only 12 and I don't want him on the wrong sites. He is already password pretected from porn sites but that doesn't help with a lot of the other no good sites. Any ideas?

You should go to http://www.oatmealmedia.net - they have a program there called keyboard nanny, It records everything on the computer, links clicked, keys typed, chat windows, pretty much everything you do. I like it because it doesn't interfeer, it lets them do what they are doing, so I can check on them later. They don't know it's there and don't find a way to bypass it like with cyberpatrol and net nanny.

parental controls go along way in locking down the pc from going where you don't want it to. You can check the history ffiles to see what sites have been visited, but if the history gets deleted you have to dig a little further.....you can check the cookies to get an idea of what sites have been visited, you can check the temporary internet files to what pics and files have been accessed, there are a few keyloggers and trackers that are out there that you can setup to monitor certain users or times of the day.
So many resources available:
Start by going to Cnet.com and look around for parental controls

Get a keylogger or go to your local store and purchase one...

It will allow you to see a log of EVERYTHING he has typed, and it can send you occasional screenshots of what he was doing, which is an image of what he was doing :)
