I'm not sure about Scotrail but I did one for Barclays bank and on their web site under the Careers tab it tells you what the telephone interview is and what to be prepared for.
check out the scotrail web site and if that fails check out the barclays bank one and hope it's the same kind of thing

they will ask few simple questions
1) what would you find on the track and you should be aware of
2) what do you know about phonetic alphabets
3) IF you see some working not with safe working procedure what will you do
4) have u dealth with any kind of situation where the other peron was not understanding and they u have to explain your self with exmaples
