get a male to male audio cable which can connect to your pc "line in" audio port and the "line out" or "phones" audio port on your music system.

then go to "start menu" > accessories > sound recorder and start recording.

after you record it, you can use i-tune to convert the *.wav audio file to *.mp3 file.

ps: you need to experiment by adjusting the volume of output and input to minimise noise.

cheers and good luck!

For putting tapes on your computer, you would need some serious equipment probably...

Find someplace that has a tapeplayer that hooks into your pc and allows you to record off of it...

I highly reccommend not doing this, because even if you did find a way to do it the quality of the music is going to be terrible coming from tape then being converted onto mp3...

Its just not worthit.

Go to the website I list below, and order Audio Cleaning Lab from Magix. It's only 30 bucks and it will digitize any analog audio and clean it up. Then you can burn it on to a CD. After that you can rip it into windows media player, and media player wil convert to MP3.
