Their defense has been strugling to stop the run all season. The tackling has gotten worse as the season wears on. Now it will be even more difficult for the offense to sustain a drive, putting the defense in a worse situation than before. Jeff Garcia plays like a deer caught in headlights. I've been an Eagles fan all my life.
At least I can look forward to Ryan Howard being named the MLB MVP this afternoon.

I am a die-hard Eagles fan and am devastated at the loss of McNabb. The Eagles have a very tough schedule coming up, they're 5-5, and they're without their leader. Not to mention, even with McNabb in as QB, there was inconsistancy and unexcusable mistakes in all aspects of the game. The defense can't tackle effectively, the receivers can't hold onto the ball, and special teams (with the exception of Reno Mahe) hasn't been able to do much of anything. I will always have faith in the Eagles and I hope and pray for a post-season run this year... but it doesn't look good. Anything is possible. Look what we were able to do a few years ago with Detmer and Feeley. Go Eagles!!

The Eagles are history. Andy Reid always needs to come up with a new excuse as to why he's not winning and loe and behold McNabb blows out is ACL. This team should have been in at least 4 super bowls in recent years and should have at least won 2. Instead "0"!!!! We need a fatter coach!!!

The way they are playing this season, even with McNabb they were not going to make the playoffs. Now it's a sure thing. It's time that Andy Reid start sending out his resume.

The Eagles were not a cinch for the playoffs even with McNabb. My feeling is that his injury kills their playoff hopes this season.

I thought their chances were slim even with him in the lineup this year. It was just one of those kinds of years. I think they definitely won't make the playoffs.
