Elephants go mad in circuses and start trampling the audience and their trainers.... or when lions eat their trainers.....

I think it's absolutely hilarious... when are people going to realise that they don't belong in circuses?

I love it when the tigers piss on the audience.
It happened to a friend about 22 years ago.
I didn't know there still were animals in circuses.
I thought it was all gymnasts, acrobats and clowns.

I don't think it's hilarious at all. I think it's quite sad. It's sad that an animal gets abused and tormented for years and years on end for the purposes of "entertainment" and then they finally snap. Wild animals do not belong in captivity for the sole purpose of entertaining humans. Elephants should be allowed to roam free with their herds in a place where they don't have to worry about poachers killing them for their ivory either.

Eh.....I don't find it amusing at all, I find it heartbreaking.

But I DO understand what you mean, and I fully agree : elephants do NOT belong in a circus. Nor do monkeys, tigers, lions and other wildlife....they should be living in their natural habitat, or, if that's not possible, in a sanctuary that is well suited for their special needs!!

More amusing to me is when the citizenry turns on its goverment, but yeah, I get it.

Cleaned my feet of mud, followed the empty
Zebra ride to the cirkus,
Past a painted cage, spoke to the paybox
Glove which wrote on my tongue-
Pushed me down a slide to the arena,
Megaphonium fanfare.
In his cloak of words strode the ringmaster
Bid me join the parade . . .

Worship! cried the clown, I am a t.i.
Making bandsmen go clockwork,
See the slinky seal cirkus policeman;
Bareback ladies have fish.
Strongmen by his feet, plate-spinning statesman,
Acrobatically juggling-
Bids his tamers go quiet the tumblers
Lest the mirror stop turning . . .

Elephants forgot, force-fed on stale chalk,
Ate the floors of their cages.
Strongmen lost their hair, paybox collapsed and
Lions sharpened their teeth.
Gloves raced round the ring, stallions stampeded
Pandemonium seesaw . . .
I ran for the door, ringmasters shouted,
All the fun of the cirkus!

When elephants go mad its usually when they are in a thing called "musk"

What happens is a secretion comes from out of there head and it drives the elphants berserk.

When you see the elephants go wild in a circus its down to their trainer not taking notice of the tell tale signs of musk.

I agree. The awareness is getting better but it's going to take many decades to change the way of thinking in other countries. Trouble is, it's us as holiday makers that go to the shows abroad that keep it going. Crazy.

The craziest thing I saw on YouTube was when a family went to a safari park. The father was jumped on by a lion when he got out of the car to take photos. The family remained in the car, screaming, as the father was eaten alive.
