The song "I Love Rock & Roll" was originally recorded in the 70's by UK outfit The Arrows. Joan Jett & The Blackhearts immortalised it in the early 80's, and Britney Spears murdered it in the 90's. Britney said she recorded it becuase it was her favourite Pat Benatar song. Right.....

Like Billy Joel says, it's still rock and roll to me. and another song says, gimme that old time rock and roll. Love it. Queen, Chicago, Journey, Styx, Stones, Holies, Beatles, Meatloaf, Damn Yankees, Moody Blues, CCR, 3 dog night Paul Revere and the Raiders, Herman's Hermits, Turtles, and on and on. Listen all the time to the rock stations. If it played in the '60s or '70s, I probably know it. I listened to the '50s stuff too, it played on the oldies but goodies programs. Got my first radio in 1964, the Beatles had just hit it big. Yes, I'm old. From "Rock around the Clock, to This Diamond Ring, to Leaving on a Jet Plane, to Bat out of Hell, to Another Brick in the Wall, to Donna Summers, Iv'e been there.
