Rhodes is a fun place to visit. The Colossus of course is no longer in existence, but they have a lot to see.

Its a beautiful floating pearl in the Med.. however, try to avoid the massive tourist industry.
The old town (world heritage site) of Rhodes, Lindos (not later then 09h00 AM) and a good glass of local wine at Embonas in the mountains are obligatory.. the rest of what is remaining of authentic Rhodes is for you to find.. it is still there however.. but hard to find..
Enjoy Rhodes, and remember, there is sooo much more in Greece

it was once the headquarters of the nights of saint john[the origin of st johns ambulance ].Before they were kicked out and took up residence in Malta.
the colossus of Rhodes was a huge statue which stood with its legs astride the entrance to the main harbor
