I really don't know, but I'm just guessing that people were taught to share and play together in Kindergarten, but they have just forgot their lessons and it's also like they are vain. They don't want to share, they won't throw even a couple dollars or rupees when a poor person with a cup walks around the corner, or will just pull up their window and won't even look at what their selling, when a poor boy is trying to get a few rupees for his family, he sometimes wil come home disappointed because no one would give him anything, even though he is dressed in rags, they won't do any of that. But there is also people out there who really care about the less fortunate and donate ALOT. I think that some people do need to think about others, but there is alot of people out there that think of the less fortunate 1st. I don't exactly know if I answered your question, and if I didn't , it was just a guess!

Money has always been the main motive and many give to the poor, but view it as the primary job of Government and Religion.

Money actually IS the main motive of people, but not ALL people. People really do think about the poor, but sometimes they don't have the power to do anything about it, albeit, Bill Gates is probably the exact opposite.

Most people would be happy too,if its within their means, its just so much gets "not" sent to where its supposed to go I think people are sick of that. For me,I donate my artwork- murals -to local schools and paint with the kids (last one was 40 foot in a very poor neighborhood and the students loved it- many had Never painted anything before) I also donate supplies to local art programs and belong to Artists Helping Children. I think I see a more dirct result and don't feel so used. You need to look up what the average American sent to 911 help after it happened. I am willing to share but I am also SICK of having it taken from me and I don't want to pay for help or taxes for those who don't do the same (to the extent they can).

Many people need the money they make just to support their own families. But even still, Americans are the most generous people on the face of the Earth. Remember the tsunami a couple years ago, and Katrina? Money poured in by the millions, given by the outstanding people of the USA. And the government of the US always provide food, clothing and medical attention to any country that has a natural or man-made disaster befall them.
Please rethink this. The USA and its people are very giving.

Every one has become selfish and the money earning is the criteria. Political leaders in the name of uplifting the poor, are robbing the people's money. and the Govt. officials, also , are following their leaders.
Who said the political leaders do not think about poor. Poor are the main source of income for them>>>>he he

You can't class everyone the same. lots of people consider the poor and give generously, both their time and money. I suggest you look into how many billions have been given to people and countries in need. Do you give to the poor, and in what way ?

By the policies of the present finance minister the ratio of poor people is going up.Even those people who could some how make a decent living have been pushed to poverty line. So every one is trying to scramble back to normal position. So who has time to think of the poor? What is your position are you well heeled?

Yes money has became the motive of people because they think that money will give them every happiness they wished for, since long.People don't think of the poor because they have no time to come out of their ownselves. They have became really very selfish. They have forgotten that humans have been given birth on this beautiful earth to show their humanity, passion, love, kindness towards others who are weak.I think that people donot think of poor because people like you and me are still alive, isn't ?
Let's get on to work.......NOW!!
