If you really want to clean up disk space then you must do:
1. Clean Internet history
2. Clean Internet files
3. Clean cookies
Then use Defrag after that do disk clean up.
Keep record of Photos/movies or bigger files on Cd or DVD

This is the full course. Usually main cause of slow PC is many start up program. Better also keep them in control if you could.

Go ahead. Ther's no problem at all. Unless you are deleting them during a download or an install when it might screw up the action. Though the files are write protected you have a very small chance of deleting them. Temp files can be deleted without having to worry at all. Go ahead delete those 24514 bytes too :) Same with the compress old files too.

yes it does,, everytime you download something or go online, it attaches temp files and cookies which are stored on your hd drive in the temp files and temp internet files,,everytime after you log off internet, but before you shut down comp,, go into your internet explorer icon and click on internet properites and on the general front page, go to the part that says temp internet files.. click on delete cookies, then after thats done click on remove files,,, when they are done then shut down,, do this everytime before you shut down your comp
