I turned off my pc, tried to turn it back on and the fan spins a little but then stops. The keyboard is showing power somtimes. I've checked that everything is pluged in tight, taken out memory and nothing is working. What shoudl I try next?

Check your fan on the CPU first. If it is defective then, the system gets turned off due to excessive haet. If the fan is OK, then, your power supply is defective or your motherboard is defective. Change your power supply and if things donot work out, then upgrade your PC.

sounds like a possible power supply going out take it to someone who can further assist you unless you know what your doing so you do not accidently damage the system

Definitely check your power source. It may be going.
